Dating with a disability can be challenging due to societal attitudes, lack of self-esteem, and struggles with confidence. Most of the time it is the messages we give ourselves that have the most impact on our confidence. Dating, Relationships, and Disability: How to Have Confidence and Succeed is a course to help people increase their self-esteem and confidence in dating through helping to:
- Increase confidence
- Develop positive view of self
- Use problem-solving strategies
- Access tools and resources to help you with dating and relationship success
The four modules, which include a video and downloadable Take Action guides in PDF format, are:
- Why You Need to Begin with Positive Beliefs
- How to Increase Your Confidence in Dating
- Identify Your Power to Attract
- Finding the Right Partner for You
Professionals and family members of people with disabilities can take the course to help someone in their life. A Professional Version is available for organizations and agencies to have up to five users and unlimited access to the Take Action guide to use with people they serve.
